Netflix dropped a trailer for its new six-part fantasy teen series, Fate: The Winx Saga, a coming-of-age tale about five fairies attending a magical boarding school called Alfea. It's located in a realm called the Otherworld, and according to Netflix "they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence." As ya do.
The Vampire Diaries creator Brian Young is behind this reimagining of Iginio Straffi's Italian cartoon series Winx Club and their associated Winx toys, so if you're a fan of either of those things, you might be into this.
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Abigail Cowen stars as Bloom alongside Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt as Terra, Elisha Applebaum as Musa, Sadie Soverall as Beatrix, Freddie Thorp as Riven, Danny Griffin as Sky, Theo Graham as Dane, and Jacob Dudman as Sam, among a cast that also includes Downton Abbey's Robert James-Collier.
Fate: The Winx Saga lands on Netflix Jan 22.
