Family dynamics can be awkward, melancholy, strange, hilarious, or all of the above at once. It's the core theme explored in Jim Jarmusch's anticipated new film Father Mother Sister Brother, and you'll get a glimpse at the incredibly stacked cast in the trailer out today.

Written and directed by Jarmusch, the Golden Lion-winning movie sees the likes of Tom Waits, Adam Driver, Mayim Bialik, Cate Blanchett, Charlotte Rampling, Vicky Krieps, Indya Moore, and Luka Sabbat building three portraits of family connection (or really, disconnection).

Over three acts set in New Jersey, Dublin, and Paris, Father Mother Sister Brother feels extremely close to home, again and again, in myriad minuscule ways. And you'll leave extremely aware of which beverages you can and cannot cheers with.

Father Mother Sister Brother hits cinemas Dec. 24. It's also showing at the BFI London Film Festival and New York Film Festival.
