The official trailer for Femme is here, teasing a queer revenge tale that's far from straightforward.

Femme follows Jules (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett), a drag performer whose confidence is severely shaken after he becomes the victim of violent homophobic attack. Three months later, he finally musters up the strength to leave his apartment and visit a gay sauna, only to encounter Preston (George MacKay) — a closeted man and the perpetrator of the hate crime.

Preston doesn't recognise Jules out of drag, creating an unexpected opportunity for the latter to orchestrate his revenge. However, as Jules integrates himself into Preston's life, the relationship between the two becomes increasingly complex. It isn't uncommon to be attracted to danger, but Femme seems to take the idea quite a bit further than typical.

The trailer includes some foul language and violence, so be careful if you're sensitive to that. Though considering the plot, this shouldn't come as a surprise.
