Don't judge a book, or a Spanish fighting bull voiced by noted WWE champion John Cena, by its cover.

John Cena may have plenty of experience wrestling in the ring, but his character in Ferdinand would just as soon skip the arena altogether.

You see, while Ferdinand looks like a lean, mean, fighting machine – he's big and musclebound with impressive sharp horns – he's really just a gentle soul who prefers to smell flowers and spend time with the family who loves him.

It's a familiar tale (you may have had a copy of the classic children's book growing up) but Cena is such perfect casting for the title role that we're officially intrigued.

Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, and Daveed Diggs voice some of the other colorful characters he meets along the way. Ferdinand is in theaters December 15.
