A teenager in Texas who couldn't make a Florence and the Machine concert due to illness had the show brought to her recently.

15-year-old Karinya Chen, who suffers from a rare form of cancer known as paraganglioma, was surprised when lead singer Florence Welch and guitarist Rob Ackroyd joined her at her bed at the Hospice Austin's Christopher House.

Other teenagers gathered around Chen as Florence performed "Dog Days Are Over" and "Shake It Out".

The fan was "bitterly disappointed when her health prevented her from attending", the hospice wrote on YouTube. "Thank you, Florence, for your loving kindness, and for making our patient's day."
