Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga promises desert car chases, over-the-top villains, and War Boys galore — and that's just the trailer.

George Miller's return to the world of Mad Max centers on a young Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy). As a child, Furiosa grew up in the idyllic Green Place, safe from the horrors of the desert wasteland beyond. But after the warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth) kidnaps her, Furiosa will spend her whole life trying to get back home.

By the looks of this trailer, her attempts to return involve allying herself with Immortan Joe (Lachy Holme), the lord of the Citadel who will become her adversary in Mad Max: Fury Road.

As if seeing Furiosa again wasn't enough, Furiosa's trailer is a thrill ride from start to finish. Big rigs crashing into towers? Hemsworth in full freak mode? Taylor-Joy channeling Charlize Theron? I'm more than sold — I'm already seated.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga hits theaters May 24.
