Jennifer Keathley, a resident of Sullivan, Ohio, received a call last Friday from her son about a suspected burglary. She never imagined the burglar would be a goat named "Big Boy."
The above video is security footage from the break in. You can hear loud bangs in the beginning, accompanied by a visual of a very confused-looking dog. Before too long, the dog begins frantically barking. But that didn't seem to put a damper on this determined goat, who appears around four minutes into the video.
A true criminal, the goat tentatively roams around the house, checking behind corners. Keathley's son eventually found the goat taking a nap in their bathroom.
According to an interview with the Ashland Times Gazette, Keathley said that she called vets, animal control, and the local humane society to help deal with Big Boy but "everyone laughed at them". Ultimately, it was the local deputies who saved the day, goading the goat out with every lure imaginable before realizing the only effective method was to yank it out of the bathroom by its horns.
Keathley told the Times Gazette that she took to Facebook to find the goat's owner, who turned out to be a man named Andrew Watkins. Big Boy had escaped about a week before the break in, and had traveled over three miles from home.
