The official trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has arrived, teasing what looks like the world's weirdest odd couple buddy cop film.

Set after the events of the first film, The New Empire catches up with outsized CGI spectacles Godzilla (rocking pink highlights) and Kong (potentially a new dad). However, rather than simply whaling on each other like before, this time the duo's destructive tendencies will be focused on a third, hidden threat.

Previous Godzilla vs. Kong actors Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry will be joined by Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire barges into theatres on Apr. 12, 2024.
