Welcome back to the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite (*read in Kristen Bell's voice*).

The second season of HBO Max's reboot of Gossip Girl is here, with a fresh batch of schemes, secrets, and glamour. This time, it's the second season of junior year and the fight for Queen is on. No one can quite do it like Blair Waldorf, but they're sure to give it a try.

Speaking of the cohort from the CW original, one key character is making a comeback: Georgina Sparks, portrayed by an inimitable Michelle Trachtenberg. This return to Gossip Girl 2.0 sees Georgina confronting the new Gossip Girl, played by Tavi Gevinson. "Did you know that you have four weak points of entry and a very pliable super?" she says in her unmistakable draw.

As our beloved narrator says in the trailer, "War is never pretty, and it's only just begun." With Georgina involved, that statement means more than ever.

Gossip Girl season 2 will premiere on Dec. 1 on HBO Max.
