We're kidding about being surprised. As expected, Hudson's eleven o'clock Hairspray Live! number, "I Know Where I've Been," was a highlight of Wednesday evening's broadcast.
The tune — about the journey and battle for civil rights — is always powerful, but took on additional poignancy last night amidst the strife of 2016.
