It's not Half-Life 3.

Valve revealed its upcoming virtual reality game Half-Life: Alyx with an action-packed and pretty spooky trailer Thursday, taking players back before the events of Half-Life 2, which came out all the way back in 2004.

Half-Life: Alyx stars the character Alyx Vance, who was a key character in Half-Life 2 and its subsequent couple of follow-up games, Episode One and Episode Two. Things look as spooky as ever in the world of Half-Life as players fight back against the aliens known as The Combine. It looks really pretty, and although it's no long-awaited Half-Life 3, this game is sure to get a whole bunch of people invested in virtual reality gear.

Half-Life: Alyx arrives on PC in March 2020 and will be compatible with all PC VR hardware.
