What's next for Emmy-winning Baby Reindeer creator and star Richard Gadd? Something light? Hell no.

BBC has released the trailer for Half Man, Gadd's six-episode TV series about a deeply toxic relationship. We meet Ruben (Gadd) and Niall (All of Us Strangers' Jamie Bell), who grew up together as brothers, though they're not blood relatives. They're complete opposites, but share a strong bond. But what happened between them in adolescence that makes Ruben's appearance at Niall's wedding 30 years later so incredibly tense? A blend of past secrets and present revelations, Half Man promises to be a serious watch.

The cast also features Mitchell Robertson, Stuart Campbell, Neve McIntosh, Marianne McIvor, Charlie De Melo, Anjli Mohindra, Bilal Hasna, Julie Cullen, Amy Manson, Tim Downie, Tom Andrews, and more.

Half Man will be released weekly in the U.S. on HBO and HBO Max from 9 p.m. ET on April 23, and in the UK on BBC iPlayer from 6 a.m. on April 24.
