Halloween Ends’ latest featurette teases a tearful interview with Jamie Lee Curtis, as she bids farewell to the character she’s played for over 40 years.

The last film of the revived trilogy, Halloween Ends promises a final reckoning between Laurie Strode (Curtis) and her walking nightmare Michael Myers, ending the longest, most harrowing cat-and-mouse-game in film history.

The featurette is an emotional glimpse into Curtis’ last days on set. David Gordon Green describes her “legacy,” as Curtis walks us through the timeless slasher franchise and what it means to her.

She was one of the first Final Girls. She’s the queen of all the scream queens. And now it’s time to say goodbye.

Halloween Ends premieres in theaters and streams on Peacock Oct. 14.
