Michael Myers is back and on the loose. The Halloween franchise and its resident boogeyman return this fall with Halloween, which sees serial slasher Myers escaped from prison and terrorizing victims once again.

Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role Laurie Strode, who has spent Michael's years in prison biding her time and waiting for him to escape. This time around, she's ready, and she wants to kill him herself.

Halloween, directed by David Gordon Green and produced by John Carpenter, is released by Blumhouse (the company behind Truth or Dare). Jeff Fradley, Green, and Danny McBride penned the script.

This is the eleventh Halloween film since 1978's original introduced the murderous Michael Myers (portrayed in this version by James Jude Courtney along with original actor Nick Castle).

Halloween releases Oct. 19.
