There are only a few more hours until the original cast's stage performance of Hamilton will finally be available to stream on Disney+. Adding some extra joy to this good news, the beloved musical's equally beloved original cast has flooded the internet with interviews in the lead up to its release.

Appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Schuyler sisters Jasmine Cephas Jones, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Phillipa Soo spoke about Hamilton's massive cultural impact, and when they realised just how big the now-iconic musical had become.

"There's so many moments," said Cephas Jones. "I remember this one moment, though — I think we were like, on the charts next to Fetty Wap? And I was like, 'Whoa, this is crazy to be in a piece of theatre that has crossed over into pop culture in a way that's never, ever been done before.'"

Creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda also spoke about casting each of the Schuyler sisters. Going through the actors in the order he met them, Miranda recounted reaching out to Soo after seeing her in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, being blown away by Goldsberry performing "Satisfied" in her audition, and considering Cephas Jones "a for real R&B singer."

"The real joy for me was, while we were at The Public [Theater in New York], the three of them sharing a dressing room and becoming the Schuyler sisters for real, and harmonising for fun," said Miranda. "'The Schuyler Sisters' as a song changed because I saw they were having so much fun harmonising that we just added more gratuitous runs!"
