Haunted houses are always a fun time – unless the monsters happen to be real. Haunt, written and directed by A Quiet Place's Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, takes a group of friends into a horror movie's favorite Chekhovian gun, the haunted house, where they encounter monsters far worse and more real than they imagined.
Produced by Hostel's Eli Roth, the film stars Katie Stevens, Will Brittain, and Lauryn Alisa McClain. The trailer is less ghosts and ghouls than blood and violence, which is still horror, if not haunted.
Haunt will come to scare theaters on Sept. 13.
