HBO will give Stephen King's 2018's horror novel The Outsider the miniseries treatment early in 2020, and if this first trailer is anything to go by the show seems primed to combine straight-up horror with the ongoing mystery of an impossible murder.
Ben Mendelsohn, Jason Bateman, Cynthia Erivo, Bill Camp, and more round out the excellent cast to join the "actors who have been in Stephen King adaptations" club, which has approximately eight trillion members worldwide.
The Outsider premieres January 12, 2020 on HBO.
