Helen Mirren has spoken about Alan Rickman's final film -- a war thriller called Eye in the Sky which she stars alongside him in -- saying she thinks it's something he would be "very proud" of.

"What I love about the film is it's Alan as I knew Alan," she tells Graham Norton in the clip above.

"I mean he was a brilliant character actor -- we see him in Harry Potter and Die Hard playing these extraordinary characters -- that is Alan as he really is: funny, urbane, intelligent... very human.

"It's really great to see him up there."

Alan Rickman passed away in January 2016. Eye in the Sky was released in the US on 1 April, and will be shown at cinemas across the world later this month.
