Man narrowly avoids helicopter rotors in terrifying mountaintop crash
Watch Next

A rescue helicopter dispatched to the top of Grossglockner mountain in Austria crashed earlier this week.

The incident, which was captured on camera, shows a chopper approaching two hikers at the top of the mountain. The copter attempts a touch-and-go rescue, but loses control after one of the people steps on board the craft.

The helicopter begins to spin out of control, and the man left on the mountain is forced to duck and dodge the chopper's rotors.

The copter pilot manages to set down the aircraft on the edge of the mountain, saving everyone on board. The Telegraph reports that a paramedic suffered minor injuries in the crash, but the pilot, rescuer and patient escaped unharmed.

It's unclear what caused the crash, though some are speculating the weather could have been a factor in the accident.
