Henry Cavill confirms he channelled a 'Game of Thrones' character for 'The Witcher'

Now that Game of Thrones is no more, and the first prequel didn't get picked up, where are we supposed to get our next sword-fighting fix?

Well, Netflix' upcoming series The Witcher — which stars a golden-haired, blade-wielding Henry Cavill — looks like a good place to start.

And even better, the main man apparently took inspiration from another golden-haired legend we all know and (used to) love.

"I modelled myself off Khaleesi," Cavill jokes to Jimmy Kimmel in the interview above, after being presented with a side-by-side of his character, Geralt of Rivia, and Emilia Clarke's Thrones character Daenerys. "I made people call me Khaleesi or Emilia on set... no eye contact, I want to be Emilia or Khaleesi.

"Call me mother of dragons, I'm fine."

The Witcher drops on Netflix on Dec. 20.
