Hugh Grant embraces horror movie villainy in the latest trailer for Heretic, the upcoming thriller from writers/directors Scott Beck and Bryan Woods (A Quiet Place, 65).

Grant plays Mr. Reed, a loner visited by two Mormon missionaries (Yellowjackets' Sophie Thatcher and The Fabelmans' Chloe East). The pair hope to teach him about the Church of Latter Day Saints, only to realize Mr. Reed is not the kind man he presents himself as. Instead, he traps them in his house and offers them a loaded choice for how to leave. They can exit through one of two doors, labeled "belief" or "disbelief."

Whatever they choose, their path forward will be fraught — and their relationship to religion will never be the same.

Heretic hits theaters Nov. 8.
