Now this is real school spirit.

Tensions have been high lately at Boston Latin School, with numerous allegations of hate speech from students. But graduating senior Phillip Sossou is cultivating a different vibe: last week, he surprised each person in his 411-member graduating class with a hand-drawn portrait.

On the last day of school, Sossou and a few friends arrived early to hang the pieces throughout the halls — and classmates were thrilled at the surprise.

"“Having these pictures helps us to embrace our diversity," Sossou told the Boston Globe.

Bonus: he got most of his source material from Facebook, so many students received hand-drawn renderings of their most fire selfies. Nice.
