We all love Honest Trailers for their hilariously brutal takedown of popular movies, but this time we believe they really went that extra mile.

ScreenJunkies released a totally predictable Honest Trailer for this award season's favourite target, La La Land, presenting it as a "tale of passion, love and ditching all that nonsense when your career takes off."

Everything from the film plot to the unrealistic depiction of Los Angeles and Ryan Gosling's love of jazz is scrutinised and ripped apart, honest-style.

Still, the best part comes around at 2:38 mark, when the trailer gets a Oscar-style interruption, and the narrator discovers that the video should actually be for this year's Best Picture, Moonlight.

"Moonlight, you guys are this week's Honest Trailer," he says. "This is not a joke guys, Moonlight this is your Honest Trailer."

And for once, at the end of the trailer, ScreenJunkies proceed to name every actor in the movie by their real name rather than a nickname -- "All these people who would have been thanked had that guy from Price Waterhouse Cooper not been too busy taking selfies to keep track of the envelope."
