What do Kaitlyn Dever, Kelly Marie Tran, Taylor Schilling, and Mike Colter have in common? They're all going to scare the hell out of you in Hulu's Monsterland trailer.

The eight-episode anthology series based on Nathan Ballingrud's “North American Lake Monsters” deals with all kinds of monsters — the ones that lurk in shadows and stories and the ones hidden inside us all. Dever narrates the trailer with a supremely creepy monologue that spoils no plot points, but makes us feel like we should watch with the lights on (Hulu also noted a fun fact in the press release that The Last of Us Part II composer Gustavo Santaolalla scored the trailer. That is a fun fact!).

Monsterland hits Hulu on Oct. 2.
