Quick thinking.

A bunch of very clever kids came up with a really smart idea to help police in England during a recent manhunt.

The group, who were on an Easter egg hunt in Surrey at the time, formed a human arrow in the middle of a field to guide a police helicopter in the direction of two fleeing men; thanks to the group, the pair was swiftly arrested.

Surrey Police confirmed to Mashable that the bizarre story, which was shared on Facebook and on the Surrey Police website, is not an April Fools' Day joke.

"It actually happened. We wanted to wait until Monday to release it because of April Fools' Day, but it was such a good story we needed to share it before it became too old," a spokeswoman told Mashable by phone.
