How would you feel if you had to read out a stranger's fantasy about sculpting your body out of wet sand? Turns out Idris Elba can just about handle it.

In a promotional video for his upcoming film The Mountain Between Us, Elba reads out genuine Idris Elba-inspired fan-fiction. There's no indication as to how many takes it took for Elba to read it all out with a straight face, but considering just how whacky the romantic tales get about him, surely he must have broken down into tears/laughter at least once or twice?

The love stories involve Elba in some of his famous roles (such as Detective Luther) and as himself. One even specifies a passionate kiss right after he finished filming Thor.

Other highlights include a steamy glamping trip, sensual snorkeling lessons and a murderer named Greg.

When can we get the audiobook?
