There is truly no better entertainment than putting a bunch of rich people on an island and watching things spiral out of control.

Brandon Cronenberg's latest film Infinity Pool is set in an isolated island where all crime is punishable by death — unless you’re rich enough to make a clone of yourself to stand in for your execution. Yes, you read that right. You either die or watch yourself die instead, and that’s exactly what James (Alexander Skarsgård) and his wife Em (Cleopatra Coleman) have to deal with after a terrible accident one night. The couple's beach vacation quickly turns south as they find themselves sucked into in the island's seedy underbelly.

Do we fully understand what's going on in Infinity Pool's trailer? Well, we've got Mia Goth being deliciously unhinged, weird masks that look like flayed skin, and a shot of Skarsgård on all fours, seemingly wearing a dog leash, so no, we don't! But given Cronenberg's bona fides — his daddy is body horror legend David Cronenberg, but his previous films Possessor and Antiviral stand on their own two creepy legs — we're stoked to step into a hedonistic, hazy nightmare.

Infinity Pool is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next month, and it will hit theaters on Jan. 27.
