Let's be real: we've all engaged in a bit of social media stalking from time to time. And anyone who's ever done it knows that sometimes, it has a way of spiraling out of control.

You dig deeper and deeper into someone's Twitter feed or Facebook page and before you know it, it's 2 a.m. and you've spent the past four hours learning all about your ex's new girlfriend. Or her dog, or her ex. Or a random C-list celebrity. Or even just a total stranger.

In Ingrid Goes West, though, Aubrey Plaza's Instagram obsession goes even further. She's not content to just follow her favorite social media star (played by Elizabeth Olsen) on the internet. She sets out to worm her way into Taylor's life IRL.

And if you caught Plaza's recent performance in Legion, you know she can be really creepy when she wants to be. Taylor might want to watch her back.

Ingrid Goes West is in theaters August 4. Before you check out this beautiful disaster in theaters, read Josh Dickey's review from Sundance.
