The Instant Pot is an insanely fast, intelligent pressure cooker that can replace numerous kitchen appliances, and is quite possibly the most important technological advancement in recent history. (Fine, the iPhone is a close second.) According to their website, Instant Pots use 70 percent less energy than the average pressure cooker, but somehow cook food, as their title states, instantly. In reality, cook times are about 2-10 times faster.

When cooking rice in an Instant Pot, you'll be able to utilize the rice pre-set button featured on the device. Remember to set the steam valve to closed before sealing the lid and take care when releasing the steam after the rice is done cooking — it's very hot!
