Hold music is almost universally maddening. It's as if corporate America got together and asked themselves, "Hmm, how can we make being this tedious thing even more irritating?"

But one brave soul is fighting back. YouTuber Alex Roldan, in an act of rebellion during an extended period of being on hold with the IRS, recorded their ear-piercing music and transformed it into something that is actually pleasant to listen to.

This beautiful new sound seems like it came right out of Blade Runner or some other contemplative sci-fi. If being on hold was always this peaceful, we wouldn't want anyone to pick up on the other end.
