Given the lengths Jake Gyllenhaal goes to when he takes on an acting role (losing 30 pounds for Nightcrawler and getting tased for End of Watch, to name just two examples), it's really no surprise that he goes all out for the Season 20 finale of First We Feast's Hot Ones.

In the video above, the actor answers questions on his various acting experiences while munching through increasingly spicy wings. But when Gyllenhaal gets to Da Bomb, the dreaded eighth wing that defeats so many guests, he actually steps things up a gear — and proceeds to eat the entire thing rather than just taking one bite.

"You guys didn't do 20 seasons to watch me take a little mini bite out of this fucking thing," Gyllenhaal growls.

The best episode of Hot Ones so far? There's some serious competition, but it's surely up there.
