When you keep getting offers to play the most evil men imaginable, there's gotta be a point where you pause and think, "maybe it's me?"

Fortunately for Jared Leto, there's a simpler explanation. Leto went on Conan to promote his new film Blade Runner 2049 (in which he also plays a villain) and Conan asked him whether his performance as the Joker in Suicide Squad had led to any offers for roles playing "deranged" individuals.

It turns out Leto had a week of being offered parts for "the most notorious bad guys you could ever imagine" including the mass murderer Charles Manson. Leto jokes that he considered playing all the most morally repugnant characters he could imagine and compiling them into a "box-set."

Leto didn't take the part (despite his facial hair suggesting otherwise) so we can only imagine how the Jared Leto mass murderer box-set would play out. Judging by his performance in Blade Runner 2049 we won't be experiencing a shortage of evil Leto any time soon.
