The layers of meta fiction stack up quickly in the trailer for Jay Kelly, Noah Baumbach's new movie. Here, George Clooney plays a suave Hollywood A-lister whose face regularly appears on giant posters, but is sometimes criticised as an actor who only plays himself.

Directed by and co-written by Baumbach and Emily Mortimer, the trailer makes this one look like a whimsical journey that splices comedy and drama with a ridiculously stacked cast. Alongside Clooney, Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Jim Broadbent, Patrick Wilson, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig, Alba Rohrwacher, Josh Hamilton, Lenny Henry, Emily Mortimer, Nicôle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Isla Fisher, Louis Partridge, and Charlie Rowe also star.

Jay Kelly hits select theaters Nov. 14, and arrives on Netflix Dec. 5.
