Justin Bieber joined Jimmy Fallon on Thursday's episode of The Tonight Show to introduce him hockey: Canada's most sacred tradition next to apologising profusely to the cashier at Tim Hortons.

Bieber showed off some impressive skills on the ice, demonstrating some quick drills and dragging a wobbly Fallon across the rink. The singer also demonstrated how to do a backhand shot, which the two practiced alongside backhanded compliments before their shootout.

"Have you lost weight?" Bieber asked. "You look a lot better than the last time I'd seen you."

The result of their competition was very much a forgone conclusion, but it did give Bieber the opportunity to belt out "O Canada" as he took a victory lap on a Zamboni.
