Joe Biden's quick response to Stephen Colbert's gaffe dig is undeniably excellent

Joe Biden may be one of the front-runners for Democratic candidate, but he's also one of the front-runners when it comes to gaffes. The former vice president makes a lot of them — he's even referred to himself as a 'gaffe machine.'

But during his appearance on The Late Show on Wednesday, Biden's previous slip-ups did at least give him the chance to make a pretty great quip.

"In the last few weeks you've confused New Hampshire for Vermont, said Bobby Kennedy and MLK were assassinated in the late '70s, assured us, 'I'm not going nuts.'" said host Stephen Colbert. "Follow up question: Are you going nuts?"

"Look," responded Biden. "The reason I came on the Jimmy Kimmel show is because..."

It's hard to hear the rest of his sentence because the laughter drowns it out.
