No offence to President Joe Biden, but a 23-minute interview with him doesn't exactly make for a riveting viewing experience.

Jimmy Kimmel did his best on Wednesday night, though, mixing a few lighter moments with plenty of serious questions for the president about current issues and frustration over slow progress toward meaningful change.

Over the course of the interview, Biden speaks about gun control ("You've got to make sure that this becomes a voting issue," Biden says), Roe v. Wade ("We have to legislate it. We have to make sure we pass legislation making it a law."), and being careful with the type of executive orders he passes ("I don't want to emulate Trump's abuse of the constitution.").

Kimmel's discouragement at some points is clear, though, and there are probably more than a few people who will empathise with one of his final, exasperated thoughts: "I think you just need to start yelling at people."
