John Oliver rips apart Trump's stance on the Paris Agreement

John Oliver is not taking climate change lightly, and he's not letting President Donald Trump get away with withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Agreement.

In a segment on Sunday's Last Week Tonight, Oliver mocked Trump and other politicians for their apparent inability to understand climate change.

Oliver picked apart one Trump statement about the Green Climate Fund, which helps developing countries reduce emissions, where he claimed that it would cost the U.S. "tens of billions of dollars."

In response, Oliver retorted: “Trump's agreement of the description is so flamboyantly deceptive, it would have been equally accurate for him to say, ‘Compliance with the Paris Agreement would likely require all ducks to wear jean shorts. And that it would potentially cost each and every American citizen five fish and a dump truck full of hamsters.”

In the end, Oliver summarized that even though it might have been hard to find the motivation to support climate change before, people can now rally in favor of the movement out of their unifying loathing for Trump.
