"You don't have to be intentionally racist to do things that have racist effects," said John Oliver on this week's episode of Last Week Tonight, which educated viewers on how schools are becoming increasingly re-segregated.

"I deserve to not have to worry abut my children getting stabbed or taking a drug or getting robbed, because that's the issue," one white mom yelled at what appears to be a school assembly in a clip Oliver dug up.

Her statement, implying that diversifying schools will increase those crimes, highlights how this re-segregation comes down to racist parents who go to extreme lengths to keep their children in homogeneous schools.

Oliver also explained how this becomes a huge concern for these parents' children, who are then underexposed to diversity and don't know how to be respectful about it.

International viewers can watch the clip here.
