Surprise: John Oliver is pretty suspicious about Trump and Putin's relationship
Watch Next

Rumors and accusations have swirled for months around Donald Trump's curious relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. And though John Oliver has mentioned it throughout the campaign and the beginning of Trump's presidency, he has yet to really dive into it on Last Week Tonight

Until last night.

For the show's main topic, Oliver explains who Putin is, why Russia loves him and why Trump probably shouldn't. It's a rousing segment full of rock 'n roll acrobats, presidential techno songs and people sh*tting on the hoods of cars.

Oh, and if you needed more reason to be suspicious of our president's relationship with Russia, Oliver gladly points out that Trump has been far nicer to the murderous autocrat than he has been to Meryl Streep.
