Joaquin Phoenix embraces his inner song and dance man in the latest trailer for Joker: Folie À Deux.

The Joker sequel picks up two years after the events of the first film, with Arthur Fleck (Phoenix) institutionalized at Arkham. There, he meets a kindred spirit in Harley Quinn (Lady Gaga), who is one of those that believe Arthur to be some kind of martyr.

The two kick off a twisted — one could even call it "bad" — romance, all told through song and dance. In the trailer, Joker sings a bit of "For Once in My Life," and he and Harley later duet for a few lines of "Get Happy." We also get glimpses of a moonlit waltz, a Joker and Harley variety show, and of course, more stair dancing.

Joker: Folie À Deux hits theaters Oct. 4.
