Jonathan Pie is at it again.

The left-wing fictional TV reporter (played by comedian Tom Walker) has launched a heart-felt tirade against the British government's perceived inaction over homelessness.

"I live in a society where the government does nothing about it apart from cut funding," Pie says, adding that sleeping rough doubled since 2010 while homelessness services have been halved.

"It's a societal failure, homelessness -- one of the biggest indications that society failed its people who are hungry, begging and sleeping in the street," he said before rushing to the shop to buy a cheese sandwich, tobacco, water and a little bottle of whisky for a homeless man.
