The official trailer for sci-fi dramedy Jules is here, demonstrating once again that humans will pack bond with anything — including an expressionless blue alien.

The film follows Milton (Ben Kingsley), a elderly man whose quiet life is disrupted by a UFO crash landing in his garden. Seemingly more concerned with the health of his azaleas than the global implications of his extraterrestrial visitor, Milton soon develops a bond with the alien, nicknaming them "Jules" and caring for them as a house guest.

Of course, even small secrets are difficult to keep in a small town, with Milton's two neighbors (Harriet Sansom Harris and Jane Curtin) soon in on the effort to hide Jules from the government.

Jules arrives in select theatres Aug. 11.
