Just in time for World Animal Day, here's a reminder that kitties can be too ambitious for their own good.

SPCA Singapore posted a video of a kitten rescue mission as a timely reminder to pet owners living in apartment buildings to check, double check and triple check that their furry friends can't make a potentially fatal dash out the window.

The tiniest of cats was precariously perched 12 storeys up on a ledge after its adventures left it trapped and just out of its owner's reach.

The presumably red-faced pet owner was advised by a SPCA rescue officer to "mesh up" their windows because the adventurous feline might not be so lucky next time.
