Lakers fan nets $95,000 by nailing amazing half-court shot

Tuesday night was a great one for Lakers fan Jerald Acoba, who watched his team defeat the Memphis Grizzlies and — more impressively — sunk a half-court shot for $95,000.

It was the second time this season a fan has won big bucks by hitting the shot; a fan won $35,000 earlier this season. The opportunity happens at every game, and with each miss the jackpot grows bigger.

After sinking the money-winner, Acoba swaggered around the court in celebration, even receiving congratulations from some of the Lakers's star players.

Asked what he had planned for the money, he went the altruistic route, saying he was going to buy his mom a car.
