The trailer for Last Night in Soho, the upcoming psychological thriller from director Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Shaun of the Dead), brings viewers into an inviting past where nothing is truly as it seems.

An aspiring fashion designer (Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie) discovers she's able to travel back in time to London in the 1960s. There, she meets — and seemingly becomes — a stunning up-and-coming singer (Anya Taylor-Joy). But as the lines between the past and present blur, things take a frightening turn, resulting in disastrous consequences.

Last Night in Soho stars Taylor-Joy, McKenzie, Matt Smith, Terence Stamp, Diana Rigg, Rita Tushingham, Michael Ajao, and Synnøve Karlsen.

How to watch: Last Night in Soho will be released in theaters October 22.
