It wouldn't be a great Mindy Kaling comedy if she didn't get hit with a garbage bag at least once and provided iconic one-liners, right?
In Late Night, she plays writer Molly Patel, a new hire for late night host Katherine Newbury (Emma Thompson) as a means to revive her show.
Helmed by director Nisha Ganatra and written by Kaling, the workplace buddy comedy also stars John Lithgow, Hugh Dancy, Reid Scott, and Denis O'Hare -- and it's giving us major Devil Wears Prada vibes.
After a buzzy premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this year, Amazon Studios bought the rights for its distribution for $13 million. Late Night hits theaters on June 7.
