George R. R. Martin has always said that the ending of A Song of Ice and Fire -- the book series upon which Game of Thrones is based -- will be "bittersweet".

This is the man who's been systematically killing off our best-loved characters since book number one, though, so if anything we'd say "bittersweet" is likely going to be an understatement.

Lena Headey has implied as much, too. Mashable recently spoke to Westeros' most feared ruler Queen Cersei about the show's final season (which is being shot at the moment), and she hinted there's going to be one especially sad moment to come.

"I can tell you that we had a giant read-through with all the cast in October," says Headey in the clip above. "And I think pretty much everybody cried at one point.

"And it was... pretty surprising."

Oh dear. Best get those tissues ready.
