Life! Love! Loss! The trailer for Life Itself once again mines these rich Hollywood subjects through the eyes of one of their biggest fans: writer/director Dan Fogelman, who created This Is Us. You can't tell much about the story of Life Itself from the trailer apart from that it will be painful and poignant – like life itself!
Starring Olivia Wilde and Oscar Isaac, Amazon Studios' Life Itself is the story of a couple, the story of a nuclear family, the story of friends and the story of a trauma (signs point to the death of Isaac's wife and child in a car crash so, uh, help).
In sharing the trailer on Twitter, Fogelman said it was written for his wife and late mother.
