The teaser trailer for retro horror comedy Lisa Frankenstein is here, and it looks like what you'd get if you mixed Mary Shelley's classic novel with Heathers. That is, a ton of fun.

Set in the '80s, Lisa Frankenstein follows Lisa (Kathryn Newton), a goth teenager who likes to hang out in a graveyard and fantasise about a relationship with one of its long dead occupants (Cole Sprouse). Fortunately for her, her dream boyfriend gets resurrected. Unfortunately for everyone else, this sets the couple on a course of murder and mayhem as they fight for their undying love.

Written by Diablo Cody (Jennifer's Body) and directed by Zelda Williams in her feature-length debut, Lisa Frankenstein also features Liza Soberano, Henry Eikenberry, Joe Chrest, and Carla Gugino.

Lisa Frankenstein arrives in theatres Feb. 9.
