The true test of a good live television host is whether they can handle the unexpected.

When BBC 2 TV presenter Victoria Derbyshire noticed one of her smaller guests looking uncomfortable on a recent show, she wasn't even remotely phased.

"Are you alright Kai?" she asks in the clip above. "What's the matter, darling?"

Then, as soon as Derbyshire realises that the little boy needs the toilet, she doesn't hesitate.

"Let's go to the loo, come on," she says, taking him by the hand before addressing the other guests: "Can you just carry on talking amongst yourselves?... I will be back in one second."
